I dedicate this book....

For Adora's first Christmas I began a tradition. For special events like birthdays and Christmases and other holidays I usually spend a little extra money and buy them a 'special' book, the kind that stay on the top shelf where they can only be reached by an adult. Hey, if you're going to splurge on something, beautifully illustrated, wonderfully written books are the way to go. I write their name and the event in the front of the book. When I read them to the girls I usually read the inscription and we remember the event.
I've noticed AJ has begun to do her own little book introduction sometimes when she sits down to read all by herself. Just now for instance, she coaxed Grace up onto the couch to read her a story and began "To Auntie Paige, Happy Birthday, Love Adora and Gracie. We love you forever." And then she began the story.
I thought it was cute.
