Not a Baby Anymore
Matthew and I have been marveling at the sheer size of her lately. In January when we took her to see Dr. Schu she was already on the 95th percentile for height, but she's gone through a major growth spurt since then. I bought her two pairs of pants in November because she was outgrowing everything else. When I bought them they needed to be folded up at the cuff, but now they're above her ankles! Good thing summer is on it's way she can wear capris and shorts and skirts.
She's also beginning to do things that big kids do, like memorizing poetry for instance. Elizabeth's mom got the girls a book of hilarious Dennis Lee poetry when Grace was born. Yesterday, Adora was stomping down the hallway reciting and acting out my personal favorite of these poems, 'I Eat Kids Yum Yum!"
Just now, I heard singing coming from her room. I put the kids to bed half an hour ago. I opened the door, and she's spread out on her bed with a book, in the dark. I can remember doing that just a few short years ago.
My little baby is so big!
