Drama Queen
Somebody warn the theatre. They've never seen anything like this. About a month or so ago, Matthew and I began to notice a new talent emerging in our biggest little munchkin. The first instance I remember I opened the car door upon arrivng home to Adora with a look of utter dispair on her face. My mind quickly rushed through my and Matt's conversation on the way home. Had we said somthing to frighten her, somthing to hurt her tender little feelings. Not that I could remember. 'Honey what's wrong?' I asked almost breathlessly, that's how forlorn she looked.
Then her smile broke out. She tricked me! Since then she has been trying out her new skill on us. Sometimes it is definitley an act, but sometimes I really think she is sincere. It is becoming increasingly hard to tell if she really is hurt when she bangs her head, or if the tears are forced. Her newist trick is the fake yawn. This one comes out mostly when she doesn't want to eat the food on her plate. One can't shovel food in when the mouth is busy yawning.
I don't even want to think how this is going to evolve over the next sixteen years.
